Vrbica was in 1923 incorporated into the town of Liptovsky Mikulas. The house is located in a long courtyard in Vrbicka street and is the oldest part of the complex of buildings. It was built in the eighties of the 19th century by parents of the Razus siblings.
About one hundred years later, the house and neighbouring buildings were bought from the Razus family by the city Liptovsky Mikulas, and were deposited to the administration of the Museum of Janko Kral. After a total reconstruction there was an exhibition open to the public in 1993, dedicated to the vanished village Vrbica, and to Martin Razus and his sister Maria Razusova – Martakova.
The exhibition is titled “Rázusovie house” and is an example of the culture of living in the former Vrbica and its architecture from the turn of the 19th and the 20th century. Premises of the original Razusovie house are furnished with period furniture with added family photographs from various periods of the life of the Razus family. There is a small library in the next room, where there are gathered editions of literary works written by the Razus siblings.
