The valley is surronded by the following hills “Ďumbier”(altitude 2 043 meters), “Krúpová hoľa”(altitude 1 927 meters), “Chopok”(altitude 2 024 meters),“Dereše”(altitude 2 003 meters), “Krakova hoľa” (altitude 1 751 meters)..

More hiking paths startig in this valley lead to Chopok Peak, Poľana saddle and Krúpová hoľa Peak. There is a hiking path with information boards on the environment. Chopok Peak is accessible by a seat funicular all year. The Cave of Liberty (with its 1600 methers) and the Ice Cave (with its 530 meters) from the Demänová cave complex and are open to the public.
