The city combines the castle, we know that in 1341 was built by master Donč, which was Zvolen Liptov gown. In 1601 – 1603 Magdaléna Zay built the new Renaissance castle that was previously established ethnographic museum. Between 1990 – 2002 the premises have been unoccupied, now the hotel GrandCastle is situated there.
The attention also recommend a beautiful park – arboretum. Are there rare plants, the emergence dates from 1886. It has an area of approximately 7 ha. Nowadays it serves as a graphical object for practical teaching for Secondary Forestry School students. It is an oasis of peace for the man who set foot in it.
Interestingly Liptovsky Hrádku is maintained building of the first economic school. It was built in 1799 as a mansion, 12. 1. 1871 it was opened lower first agricultural college in Uhorsko/Hungary.
If in your city tour you will visit the Roman Catholic church, you will see paintings of Levočas painter Joseph Lech from the 1790th. In the church you will also find a statue of Saint Francis of Assisi, the work of sculptor A. Štróbel and precious organ from A. Pažitný from the 1799th.
Memorial under the Skalka was built in honor of residents of municipalities Belanská Valley, who fell on 1st and 2 World War. The construction of the monument, endeavor by general Ferdinand Čatloš. Memorial built sculptor L. Pollák and was unveiled on June 29. June 1944.
The attention belongs to two hundred years old Lipová alley/Lime alley and Skalka. A short climb allows each visitor a beautiful view of the scenery of town, the River Bela, but also the surrounding villages. Double Cross, which is located at the top of Skalka, attracts every passer-by.
Interestingly Liptovský Hrádok was a forest railway, which was founded in 1912. The first route was from Kráľová Lehota to Čierny Váh. In 1940s, the route leaded from the Liptovský Hrádok to Čierny Váh. This forest railway was the first, which in 1929 until 1938, had authorized passenger. It was abolished in 1972. But now you can also enjoy views of the motor locomotives, steam locomotives and wagons, which are currently housed in the Museum Village in Liptovská Pribylina.
