Basic route: Start at the parking lot with bus stop. Walk up wide path, which leads to the Demänovská jaskyňa slobody cave (860 m). You need at least 1 ½ hour of extra time to see the cave so you should better leave it for some other time. Maintained path leads from entrance to the cave up the slope of the Točište marked in blue hiking marks (2709). The ascent is in steep slope. It becomes milder when you reach the terrain plateau with an alpine meadow.
Switchbacks palliate the final rock step. The following platform with alpine meadow offers the first point of relax and then there is the second steep stretch leading to the crest with higher situated alpine meadow. More switchbacks follow to the last rock step. Continue traversing the steep grassy slope as far as the top of the Pusté Mt. (1 501 m). The plain top is also often referred to as Prašivé. Apart from fine views also the rock galleries on the southern side of the ridge are interesting. Similar rocky formations bur higher situated are at the Ohnište Mt. above the Jánska valley. Short descent will bring you to the Machnaté saddle (1 450 m) in the side ridge between the Demänovská hora Mt. and Krakova hoľa Mt. Continue northward following the yellow hiking marks (8620) along the crest of the side ridge. The path traversing in the northern slope of the Pusté Mt. leads to the Iľanovské sedlo saddle (1 253 m). Continue turning left onto the green-marked path (5426) and down the valley of Vyvieranie.
With the particular that instead of turning right next to the Demänovská jaskyňa mieru cave (784 m) go to the opposite direction. Advance on wide comfortable road leading up the Demänovská dolina valley first on the right, and beyond the ridge on the left bank mostly in the dry channel of the Demänovka river. The channel is usually dry. The aim of the trip is at the parking lot below the Demänovská jaskyňa slobody cave.
