From the centre of the town set out to northwest. Ride through the town part Ondrašová, around Aquapark Tatralandia to the village Liptovský Trnovec. From there just copy the bank of the dam Liptovská Mara. Behind the village Trnovec, the route continues with long ascent as far as the village Liptovská Sielnica.

Under the hill at the Y-shape crossroads continue to the left. If you are hungry or thirsty between whiles, you will find here nice refreshment. Across under demanding terrain continue around the dam. Next side-cut would lead you to Prosiecka valley, but the original route still leads you along the shore. Along the village Hliník, you will reach crossroads, where you turn to the left across Bobrovník. After moderate ascent by the hotel Jamajka, there follows perhaps the most beautiful part of the route with a view on the water dam and surrounding mountains. Another landmark is the church tower over the flooded village Liptovská Mara. Today, this “sea of Liptov” carries the name of this village.

There is another possibility for refreshment in the summer. On the hill over the dam wall, there is situated the archaeological locality Havránok. At the turn of the eras, the Celts built their fortified settlement here, therefore you can find on this place unusual natural museum. Continue with the steep descent on the right side of the dam wall to the village Vlašky. It is forbidden to ride across the dam wall! From the village Vlašky, there is only a short distance to Thermal park Bešeňová, but you are following the original route and continue beneath the motorway towards the villages Vlachy and Krmeš. At the crossroads, before the village Ľubela, turn to the left. This road will lead you through wonderful corners of Liptovská Valley with fascinating views. Back to Liptovský Mikuláš, you will get along the road by the villages Gôtovany, Gálovany, the town parts Andice, Benice and through Palúdzka.
